Vermentino 2023

A vine that gives of its best in the Maremma as well as in Sardinia. The nose has a fine and delicate hint of fruit, with aromatic citrus notes that give the wine great freshness. It has a balanced taste, well-supported by its acidity and mineral component that give it sapidity and persistence.

Rosato 2023

Produced entirely from Sangiovese grapes, harvested in the Rocca di Frassinello vineyards. A wine with a pale pink peach petal color thanks to the brief contact of the flower must with the skins. In the glass it expresses great freshness and sapidity, characteristics that refer to the Provençal style of the best French rosés.

Poggio alla Guardia Vigne Alte 2021

The benchmark wine, the third label, from the great project of Rocca di Frassinello. But a wine with a very marked personality, spicy but very easy to drink. An introduction to the company’s other labels of great aged wines. It is such a pleasure to drink that the quantities consumed are always high.

Ornello 2021

Created in honour of the ‘butteri’, who remain the symbol of the Maremma region, strong and elegant at the same time. The Ornello (from the name of the wood – manna ash), is a long, pointed stick that is still used today for driving cattle. It stands out for its substantial percentage of Syrah grapes that make it very full and rich, nonetheless retaining the typical elegance and freshness of Rocca di Frassinello wines.

Le Sughere di Frassinello 2021

It is the second highest Rocca di Frassinello label, bidding to reach the maximum level of the first. A wine of great substance, in which Sangioveto and the international grape varieties of Cabernet and Merlot fuse for an ideal Italian-French creation. It has already been chosen as one of Wine Spectator’s Top 100 wines.

The first label, le grand vin according to the Bordeaux classification, the highest expression of this Italian-French project. A wine that succeeds in combining strength, intensity and elegance, with soft tannins to give it a roundness in the mouth. It achieved the highest critical acclaim right from the first harvest, the 2004 vintage. A great competition wine according to Christian Le Sommer, winemaker at Les Domaines Baron de Rothschild-Lafite, who created it together with Alessandro Cellai.

Rocca di Frassinello Bianco 2021

The best Vermentino grapes treated with care right from the harvest, and 10 months of permanence on the lees, allow to obtain a harmonious white wine, with a full and silky sip, rich in floral aromas, citrus notes and a distinctly mineral component which gives freshness and flavor. A wine of great persistence that is able to refine in the bottle for several years.

Rocca di Frassinello San Germano 2018

On the hill of San Germano the vine was already cultivated 3,000 years ago by the Etruscans. To testify, the discovery of the necropolis of San Germano, whose tombs have returned objects of the funeral equipment related to the production of wine. A millenary history that has allowed the plants to selfselect themselves, naturally developing their defenses against climatic and biological adversities, and therefore to obtain healthier and excellent quality grapes.

Baffonero 2020

Baffonero takes its name from a vineyard, 100% Merlot, that was one of the first to be planted at Rocca di Frassinello. The company was born of a joint venture between Castellare di Castellina and Domaines Baron de Rothschild-Lafite, the most famous chateau in the world. The Baffonero vineyard lies below the winery designed by Renzo Piano, on terrain with perfect exposure.
