On the hill of San Germano the vine was already cultivated 3,000 years ago by the Etruscans. To testify, the discovery of the necropolis of San Germano, whose tombs have returned objects of the funeral equipment related to the production of wine. A millenary history that has allowed the plants to selfselect themselves, naturally developing their defenses against climatic and biological adversities, and therefore to obtain healthier and excellent quality grapes.

Twenty years ago, on the hills of Rocca di Frassinello estate, the first harvest took place. From the bunches of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Rocca di Frassinello – Maremma Toscana 2004 was born, the first label, the grand vin according to the Bordeaux classification, the maximum expression of the Italian-French project that gave life to Rocca di Frassinello. To celebrate this special anniversary, a limited edition of the Rocca di Frassinello 2020. Only 3 thousand numbered bottles, produced with the best Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. In particular, the Merlot grapes are the same ones that give life to Baffonero, the top wine of the cellar considered among the best Merlots in the world, as recently stated by the French journalist Jean-Francis Pécresse.

The best Vermentino grapes treated with care right from the harvest, and 10 months of permanence on the lees, allow to obtain a harmonious white wine, with a full and silky sip, rich in floral aromas, citrus notes and a distinctly mineral component which gives freshness and flavor. A wine that succeeds in combining strength, intensity and elegance, with soft tannins to give it a roundness in the mouth. It achieved the highest critical acclaim right from the first harvest, the 2004 vintage. Produced entirely from Sangiovese grapes, harvested in the Rocca di Frassinello vineyards. A wine with a pale pink peach petal color thanks to the brief contact of the flower must with the skins. In the glass it expresses great freshness and sapidity, characteristics that refer to the Provençal style of the best French rosés.

Grappa di Rocca di Frassinello

Obtained by distilling the pomace of Rocca di Frassinello wine, it is aged in small oak barrels and therefore amber in colour, lucid and transparent; it has a very intense nose with delicate notes of blackberry in the finish. It is supported by a great elegance that comes to the fore in a balance of aromas, ranging from floral and fruity notes to soft hints of vanilla and wood.

Rapture of the Grape, a special collaboration between Rocca di Frassinello and David LaChapelle – a master of beauty and communication, Canadian of Lithuanian origin and a former pupil of Andy Warhol It is a limited edition of the first label, Rocca di Frassinello. It has been bottled in large formats, with labels signed by David LaChapelle.

Frappato 2024 | Colori di Sicilia

Frappato is one of the 4 monovarietal wines of the Colori di Sicilia line by Feudi del Pisciotto. A native black grape of ancient origins, vinified in purity, it highlights the typical floral and fruity aromas of the variety. Frappato by Feudi del Pisciotto reveals vivacity and organoleptic intensity in the glass. Round on the palate, it conquers with its freshness. On the label, brush strokes of fiery red that recall the lava of the volcano, taken from the ceramics by Giacomo Alessi, the master of Caltagirone.

A red grape variety from the South East of Sicily, Frappato grown at Feudi del Pisciotto reveals vivacity and organoleptic intensity in the glass. The particular selection of grapes destined for the DOC Sicilia Superiore I Putti del Serpotta line, dedicated to the great Sicilian sculptor who lived between the 17th and 18th centuries, allows for the production of a wine of great finesse.
